Mission Impossible (1996)
Yesterday night I watched Mission Impossible again using my idiot box. The disk stealing plot was still amazing even judging by the current standard of amazement, featuring a group of four managing to beat a set of state-of-the-art systems with the help of some spy techniques. Mission Impossible is really better than most action films out there, because it actually keeps a believable plot without throwing in some excessively supernatural hero(s), like Spider Man, Hell Boy, Fantasy Four or Iron Man... (sorry, I don't think Iron Man could be possibly produced before my righteous soul resting in paradise) It is believable and memorable. I bet the memory of the disk stealing scenario is still fresh in your head now, even after a deacde. Nothing to say anymore, a classic.

Real-Life Testimonials
So it's now time to come to realize that textual testimonial couldn't make it anymore. However, this Pennsylvania-based lawn care company has displayed a juicy real-life testimonial panel in an impressive way. Now close your eyes, and take a few minutes to think of real-life testimonials in your business, and leverage them cordially to fascinate your potential prospects.

Music with Impulsive and Contemplative Buyer
More psychology is going on. I stumbled upon a study related to purchasing impulse while on the job. Though the study was kinda old, published in Nov. 2005, it didn't dampen the significant result of the psychological work, which pointed to people being affected when shopping with the background music on. The study was hosted in a brick-and-mortar store, however, the upshot has meaningful indication for online businesses alike. Background music, according to the 2005 study, enhanced buying impulse of impulsive buyers, but was effectless to contemplative shoppers.
As a webmaster, I will never stop peeking into behaviors of online customers in different age grounps. It's high time to test the music idea. Whether a snatch of slow-tempo pop music will really do the trick, the a/b test system will soon tell!

Social Proof
I've been reading Yes!: 50 Scientifically Proven Ways to Be Persuasive this morning and I was totally obsessed by its scientific coverage on social proof. The book gave me a lot of insight and greatly expanded my knowledge scope. It's amazing to have my eyes on this book and it should be rated as a must-read for every marketer.
I am sure I will level up after ploughing it though. Thanks to this book, my view on marketing has largely changed. Now in modern times, we should link psychology with marketing to form a new persuasive force, neuro-marketing.
