About Satisfaction

Check out this set of words: dissatisfied, unsatisfied, dissatisfactory, unsatisfactory, dissatisfying and unsatisfying.

Can you tell the difference between them?

Now let's clear them up.

un = not quite, not completely;
dis = not at all, lack of;

...tory = about minimum criteria;
...ing = about the whole satisfaction or lack of it;

Notice that you cannot say about a person using the above-mentioned words ending with ing or tory, and instead you should apply the suffix ed to describe a person.
