We have some long words that we may not want to type them out in full. Like internationalization, localization and globalization. Due to their length, these terms are frequently abbreviated to i18n, l10n and g11n respectively, where the Arabic numeral stands for the number of letters between the first letter and the last one in these words.
English is a magical lanauge with various twists. That's why I've fallen in love with her. XD
